History and Disclaimer
Massachusetts News was originally an Incorporated newspaper owned by Atty.
J. Edward Pawlick in the late 1990's.
He owned and operated a website by the same name until Sept. 11th, 2006,
which is when he officially laid off his final employee, and the site
became static. Subsequently, All files related to the site were deleted
from the hosting server.
When the domain expired, it was purchased by a former employee who had
the only existing backup of the previous site. Pawlick had consistently
said that the material presented on his site was meant to be public domain,
not subject to copyright. Included with that is the PDF files of the original
printed news paper, MassNews.
After Edward Pawlick died, which was a little over a year after he shut
down MassNews, the former employee brought the domain live once again,
with many of the old archives intact for posterity. Many of the stories
from the early days of MassNews were ground-breaking, and are still cited
by other media sources as the most authoritarian journalism on a number
of social issues in the state.
With the domain under new ownership, the estate of the late J. Edward
Pawlick bears no liability for any content on the site, nor opinions expressed
on the site.
