Part II - Why is Article 8 Joyous About the
Election?
By Attorney J.
Edward Pawlick
Seven
incumbent legislators were targeted by homosexual activists from
the Human Rights Campaign, with over $500,000 in emergency contributions
being sent to Massachusetts in the recent elections.
All seven were re-elected
except for Vinnie Ciampa (D-Somerville) who wilted under the tremendous
pressure of violence from the scores of activists brought in from
out-of-state. He never did explain the core issue to the voters
and lost as a result.
The six
who were re-elected were:
• Sen. Scott Brown (R-Norfolk, Bristol) who defeated
the former aide of Cheryl Jacques 51%-47%.
• Rep. Phil Travis (D-Rehoboth) who
was targeted because he filed a Resolution to Remove Margaret Marshall
from the Supreme Judicial Court after she made her illegal ruling
on “marriage.” He won easily 63%-37%.
• Rep. Shirley Gomez (R-Outer Cape) who defeated
the lesbian Selectman from Provincetown, 57%-43%.
• Rep Brad Hill (R-Ipswich area) who defeated a
pro-homosexual candidate, 62%-38%.
• Rep. George Peterson (R-Eastern edge of Worcester
County) who coasted past a pro-homosexual candidate, 65%-35%.
• Rep. Susan Pope (R-Wayland) who held off a homosexual-endorsed
challenger from her hometown, 52%-48%.
Of course, the big event occurred
in the Primary when Rep. Emile Goguen (D-Fitchburg),
the man who defied all political pundits when he filed a Resolution
to Remove Judge Marshall and her three cohorts, won re-election
over a lesbian opponent by an overwhelming 70%. Rep. Goguen was
unopposed in the general election.
