NEWS ITEM: NATIONAL HOMOSEXUAL ORGANIZATION POURS $600,000 INTO MASSACHUSETTS LEGISLATURE ELECTION BATTLES!

Gay marriage plays quiet role in Mass.
  [Boston Globe–Oct 19]  Typical Boston Globe / Associated Press article – trying to persuade people that the same-sex marriage issue is really not an issue:  The same song the homosexual activists are singing in their "stealth" campaigns.  But underneath it all the gays are pouring more money, organizational expertise, and manpower into defeating pro-marriage legislators than anyone can believe.  The last paragraph of that article reveals even more of what we've all known: that enormous money is coming in from out of state – to change our Legislature:

"The Washington-based Human Rights Campaign has pumped $600,000 into MassEquality.org to help with its grass-roots efforts in campaigns where pro-gay rights candidates are in jeopardy, said Cheryl Jacques, who left the Massachusetts Legislature earlier this year to head the group."

 This is in addition to the $200,000 that MassEquality got in a matching donation in September, plus their additional money this month, plus the lavish funding that SupportEquality has been getting.  We're talking about LOTS of money.

===  1.  Media update – Who will break the silence?  ===

 Can we get the media to even discuss Carl Sciortino, running for State rep, who disrupted a Catholic Mass and a whole lot of other weird stuff?  In the last email, we talked about how virtually the entire Boston media – Globe, Herald, TV, radio talk shows, etc. – refuses to discuss Sciortino's sordid past.  We've seen numerous articles about him, all puff pieces. And how Boston's two "cutting-edge" talk show hosts – Howie Carr and Jay Severin, both of whom railed against the same-sex marriage ruling, have taken a pass on this.  Although we encouraged you to call & email them, our conclusion is that the two of them are what they are: political lightweights, entertainers who love to pontificate but don't want to be the "first" to dive into this shark-infested pool. And, unfortunately, don't hold your breath that Jeff Jacoby, the Globe's so-called conservative columnist will weigh in on this.  He's been contacted probably more than any other local media person.  Nothing doing.  Both of his bosses at the Globe are gay activists. HOWEVER . . . on Monday, we did get a call from Raphael Lewis, a Globe reporter who recently wrote a Sciortino puff piece.  He said he'd gotten "a lot of emails" from people who were angry that he left out the important information.  So he asked us more about it, and said he'd be calling a lot of people and doing an article.  As this goes to press, we haven't seen the Wednesday Globe.  Maybe we'll get lucky!

===  2.  EVENTS: Article 8 speaking at Tufts on "Homosexuality and Society"  === Into the belly of the beast, as they say.  Tufts University, in Medford, is probably the most militantly pro-homosexual college in the Boston area – and that's saying a lot.  But having held several "Fistgate" conferences over the years, and having banned their Christian Fellowship Association from campus for not allowing homosexuals in their leadership, Tufts is head and shoulders above everyone else around here.  (Though to be fair Smith College, in the western part of Mass., has outstanding credentials in this regard, also.)

 Article 8 Alliance has been invited by the Tufts Republican Club to come and speak!  (A feisty bunch, these guys!)  So . . . mark your calendars!  This should be QUITE interesting!!! DATE:  Next Wednesday, Oct. 27TIME:   8:00 pmPLACE:  Tufts University, Medford.  Pearson Hall 104DIRECTIONS & PARKING: To be published in Thursday's email.TOPIC:   Homosexuality and Society, featuring Dr. John Diggs, internationally known authority on the health issues regarding the homosexual lifestyle. TO BE COVERED:Is there more than one side in the debate over homosexuality and homosexual "marriage"?   Are all religious citizens "homophobes"?  What are the homosexual health risks and why are they treated as political issues rather than health risks ? Don't miss it!! Dean Vogel fundraiser – Wednesday evening. Dean Vogel, running in Western Mass., is one of those candidates you can't help but love.  Absolutely solid guy.  Not afraid of the issues.  Not afraid of angry liberals out to intimidate new candidates.  Disliked by the RINO Romney Republicans because he actually has principles and is willing to talk about them.  This guy would make a great State Rep. Dean's holding a fundraiser at 5:30 pm tomorrow –  Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Hofbrauhaus Restaurant in West Springfield.  He can win, but needs cash to carry him over the top.  Price: $25 (or more if you can).  For more info / directions call:  413-204-8439

===  4.  Fundraising update toward $100,000 goal.   ===

We're now over $17,000 toward that $100,000 goal!   Your donations right now are REALLY helping us.  Every dollar is important.  We know we'll never get the huge funding that the homosexual movement can generate.  So we're learning to use money very efficiently and powerfully.  You're helping us get to our $100,000 goal.  We're here to get the job done.  And we won't let you down.  This is a fight we must not lose.

AS WE’VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG – IT’S UP TO THE PEOPLE NOW!  THIS CAN AND WILL BE WON.
