Vote Today -- Even if Your Candidate Is Unopposed Senator Scott Brown discovered late yesterday that a sticker campaign has been organized against him, in the hope that his supporters are over-confident. The sponsors of the sticker campaign believe the supporters will stay home because they know their candidate does not have an opponent on the ballot. If that happens, a small minority could “steal” the election today. That is particularly true in Massachusetts where an independent voter can request a ballot from whichever Party he chooses. In addition, it looks poor if a candidate obtains a smaller number of votes in the primary than his opponent for the general election. These are some of the dangers of staying home from the Primary election, the experts say. Every candidate needs a large turnout in order to show enthusiasm. So go to the polls today and show enthusiasm for your candidate,EditRegion3 |
