Editorial: Inspired by Globe Columnist Eileen McNamara A new word was added to the English language today. It is the concomitant word to "homophobia" which has become common since it was first introduced in 1969 by homosexual activists.
But with this new word, anyone who is unfairly attacked will only have to point out that it is the accuser who suffers from "heterophobia" and therefore has an irrational fear of the 97% of the populace who are heterosexual. The new word perfectly describes Eileen McNamara. It was coined after reading a column she wrote in the Sunday Globe on June 16 which had this headline, Raping girls less evil? McNamara found one girl who says she was raped by a Catholic priest who is still walking around Worcester while two other priests who raped boys are in jail. McNamara says she was unable to talk to anyone to confirm all her facts. She blames - guess what - "sexism and homophobia" for the disparate treatment. She wonders, "Could it be that an impartial system of justice is just a little more horrified by the homosexual rape of little boys than by the heterosexual rape of little girls?" Come on Eileen, you can't possibly believe that there is anyone who would not be shocked and horrified by the repeated rape of a little girl between the ages of 4 and 9. Do you really believe that heterosexuals are that evil? And how did you get homophobia get into this? Do you really believe that the Catholic priests who are still in jail are being punished because of "homophobia"? Just what do you want? Do you want the two homosexual priests out of jail or the one priest who allegedly raped the girl put in to join them? Or do you want the two homosexual priests released and the other one put into jail? In her last sentence, McNamara sums it up. "Bail came down to prosecutorial and judicial discretion. And that worked out better for the boys than for the girls." But wasn't there only one girl involved? But that doesn't matter to Eileen. She makes up anything she wants to. Many say that all of this is just malarkey and it is obvious that Eileen suffers from a severe case of heterophobia. They wonder if she ever had a father, brothers, uncles or a husband. They say she should try to mingle more with males and get to know and understand them better. She might overcome her disability.
